    What are some good self improvement books? I'm talking of book in all categories (social, professional, productivity, leadership, etc) that can help me improve myself, and have been proven to work. I'm typically hesitant on purchasing any self improvement book, since I tend to think a majority of them are BS trying to make a quick buck. Self improvement is a passion of mine. I've read more books than I remember, many reiterating the same principles in different ways. These 5 are the ones that immediately come to mind when someone wants to get started on their own development journey: Getting Things Done by David Allen.

    The Book of Pook teaches you to be a man and to not give in to the power that women yield over spineless guys. More effectively, the book wants you to respect yourself and to love yourself.
